Alhambra Farmer's Market

The Big Man Upstairs cranked down the climate control on So Cal this weekend, and even threw in a decent amount of rain over the last couple of nights. Still, the sun busted through the clouds for a spell today, long enough at least for us to hit the Alhambra Farmer's Market and pick up some "baby" vegetables for the big Turkey Feast this Thursday.

You've gotta love it when farmers from Santa Maria roll down with crackling carrots so sweet you just can't stop eating them raw. We even split a bag of oranges with Tommy and Lisa and got to make googly faces at a very smiley and cuddly baby Keagan.

And who knew that in addition to Chinese and Japanese eggplants there were Filipino and Thai ones as well? Can't wait to see what they taste like!
