Engrish 101

My buddy Walt keeps an entertaining blog that takes note of all the odd uses of English you can find across Japan these days (though he hasn't posted for a few months).

Bad Engrish, as the phenomenon is commonly called, always makes me giggle and feel a little nostalgic at the same time. While I was often baffled when I lived in Japan (What exactly does Dog Wiz sell?), I enjoyed every second of it.

Luckily, with L.A. being the cosmopolitan city it is, we can walk into a number of different Asian grocery stores and find a little Bad Engrish now and then to tide us over until our next trip across the Pacific. This Pocky box isn't exactly a good example of Bad Engrish, but the tagline at the bottom is charmingly odd.

Plus, the fact that Pocky has a "Men's" line is just the best. Can we have an "Altoid's for Men" or "Brawny Kit Kat", please?
